Adam Bello is a lifelong Monroe County resident who met his wife in the 4th grade, and has spent his life working to make our community a better place to live. He has served as the Irondequoit Town Supervisor and Monroe County Clerk and now Adam is running for  County Executive to bring new ideas, new energy, and new leadership to county government.

As County Clerk, Adam ended the long-standing practice of offering illegal fee waivers to friends, family and political allies, he processed over 20,000 pistol permit opt-out forms, implemented electronic filing practices for civil cases, and created a new online appointment system to cut down on wait times at local DMV branches.

As Irondequoit Town Supervisor, Adam spearheaded the construction of the award-winning Irondequoit Town Library which was completed on time and under budget. He led the fight to hold the owner of the Medley Center accountable, successfully bring a lawsuit to protect taxpayers and paving the way for future development. He also worked with members of the Town Board to implement the most comprehensive plan in New York State to combat vacant “Zombie” homes.

These experiences showed Adam that government works best when we have leaders who are willing to roll up their sleeves, bring people together and work together to find solutions to the shared challenges we face.

As your County Executive, Adam will focus on solving challenges like the opioid epidemic, improving our economic climate so our children don’t have to leave to find work, rooting out government corruption, and maintaining our roads, bridges and highways.

It’s time for new ideas, new energy, and new leadership in Monroe County –  and Adam Bello is the right leader to ensure we have a government that works for all of us, regardless of who you know.
